Job Description
The Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, seeks an experienced professional to teach courses in advertising, public relations, and/or journalism, beginning immediately.
Adherence to programmatic goals and curriculum objectives is required, as the school is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC).
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in communications or a related field
- Two years of professional experience in advertising, public relations, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional experience beyond the required amount in advertising, public relations, or a related field;
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in higher education.

The Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication has a dynamic ACEJMC-accredited undergraduate program and a strong master’s program. The school has undergraduate majors in advertising, journalism and mass communication, public relations, and sports media and communication.
