Job Summary

The OH Foreman at Primoris Services Corporation is responsible for leading and supervising a crew performing overhead utility construction and maintenance, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of an overhead utility construction crew.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical distribution and transmission lines, including poles, conductors, transformers, and other related equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of utility equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other heavy machinery.
  • Train and mentor crew members, fostering a culture of safety and skill development.
  • Conduct pre-job briefings, safety meetings, and job hazard analyses.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Complete daily reports, time sheets, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and storm restoration efforts as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in overhead utility construction and maintenance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role (e.g., Foreman, Lead Lineman).
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Journeyman Lineman certification preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical distribution and transmission systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and utility safety practices.
  • Ability to operate various utility equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
