About The Role

Seeking a skilled Bit Welder with experience in TIG/MIG welding, hard facing, brazing, metal fabrication, and grinding to support bit manufacturing operations while meeting NOV Quality and HSE requirements.

Perform TIG/MIG welding, hard facing, brazing, and other metal welding processes.
Read and follow technical drawings and engineering specifications.
Assemble components according to engineering drawings and established procedures.
Set up and adjust equipment to ensure proper alignment of parts.
Lift, position, and secure workpieces safely during welding operations.
Ensure welding setups are approved by the senior operator or supervisor before production.
Use standard measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
Perform required manual grinding and hot-work activities.
Carry out operator-level machine maintenance and daily workplace cleaning.
Comply with all NOV Quality, HSE, and operational requirements.
Support other operations, shifts, or weekend work when required
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Technology, Metal Fabrication, or Welding Processes.
Vocational training with 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience in production processes or light/heavy fabrication is preferred.
Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and schematics.
Experience in manual grinding operations.
Good understanding of manufacturing shop practices and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Good teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
Knowledge of Quality and HSE requirements.
