Operations ManagementExternal listingfull-time6 days ago

About The Role

  • Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines.
  • We combine global fintech expertise with deep local market knowledge to make financial services simple, accessible, and useful for millions of people across the region.
  • 7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. 7,000+ partner stores. US$310M+ raised from leading global investors.
  • Manila-based, globally distributed, and hybrid-first — our team spans 45+ countries.
  • If you want to solve complex problems at scale and impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us.
  • Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll own card and ATM operations at Salmon — reconciliation, settlements, chargebacks and disputes, issuing, acquiring — while we connect a new card processor and build out our ATM network.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Run card operations end to end: issuing, acquiring, processor management, and card scheme operations, with Visa connected directly and Mastercard through partners.
  • Build reconciliation for a new card processor we are connecting in the coming months.
  • Set up reconciliation for a growing ATM network across three levels — the national payment networks, each individual machine, and the cash-in-transit partner — plus customer accounts.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Take over live processes without incidents, gaps, or service interruptions — this is the first priority in your first months.
  • Own card reconciliation and settlements, plus chargeback and dispute handling end to end.
  • Build and lead a Philippines-based operations team: hiring, onboarding, performance, motivation, retention.
  • Deliver the reconciliation setup for the new processor and for the ATM network as it scales from its first machines to a national footprint.
  • Manage processors and card scheme operations, including SLAs and escalations.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to define operational requirements for new card and ATM flows, and with the regulator on your part of the business in English.

WHAT MAKES YOU A STRONG FIT

  • 5+ years in card operations, including time in international fintech, digital banking, or payment processing
  • Hands-on experience with card reconciliation, settlements, chargebacks and disputes, issuing, or acquiring at real transaction volume
  • Management experience where you hired, built, and scaled a team — not only held a senior title inside one
  • Experience working with non-local or distributed teams, effective in a multicultural setup without a long ramp-up
  • Fluent English, written and spoken — your team is Philippines-based and part of the regulator communication is in English
  • Ready to relocate to Manila; the first three months onsite are required for work visa processing
