About The Role

This role is focused on developing and delivering a suite of development initiatives that build people management and leadership capability within our workforce to underpin business growth and employee engagement. Working with senior leaders and HRBP's, the role holder will identify learning needs and lead the end-to-end delivery of solutions to meet those needs.

  • Lead on Development Programmes typically for Senior Managers, Managers, Lead/Specialist, Future Leaders and Operational Delivery Managers and Supervisors. Support initiatives for Senior Leaders as required
  • Build relationships with Senior level stakeholders inc. Sector Directors and Functional Leads to design, deliver and support development programmes
  • Oversee development of People management skills across the organisation along with Career development resources & non-technical mentoring
  • Advance our Resource/eLearning Suite for Leadership, Management and Careers alongside input to Leadership development initiatives and programmes
  • Oversee Alumni offerings and support development of Learning Communities
  • Design and delivery of development programmes aligning with the training needs analysis, which includes working closely with subject matter experts to develop online and classroom content
  • Commission and manage delivery by external providers where appropriate, securing best value for money and ensuring that any external funding opportunities are maximised
  • Provide L&D input to talent management, HR projects and organisational development activities
  • Deliver 360 and Psychometric Feedback and development conversations
  • Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of programmes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Build relationships with external counterparts, communities of practice and stakeholders to keep abreast of the external landscape, understand emerging trends, innovations and best practice
  • Use the insight from networks alongside evaluation data to review and refresh initiatives as appropriate

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of three years of experience in L&D operations and delivery
  • Experience of learning/ training design, delivery, evaluation & improvement
  • Strong organisational/project management skills
  • Strong presentation skills and experience of facilitating learner and stakeholder groups
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels with confidence and quickly build networks
  • Comfortable engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience of using LMS and HR Systems for the capture and provision of management information
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Ability to manage ambiguity
  • Strong team working in a hybrid environment
  • Curiosity and asking questions dig beyond the surface
  • Developing external networks to stay abreast of best practice and emerging trends

Desirable

  • Experience with use of psychometric instruments and providing 360 Degree Feedback
  • Knowledge of the professional development cycle
  • Awareness or experience of external funding streams (e.g. ECITB, CITB, Kickstart, etc.)

Essential

  • Coaching qualification or certificate
  • CIPD Level 3 or above or a Teaching/Adult Learning Qualification or relevant degree e.g. Psychology, Human Resources Management etc

Desirable

  • Certified in a psychometric tool such as EQi 2.0 or DISC
