Driver – Diagnostic Lab

Position Summary

The Driver with the Patterson Animal Health Diagnostic Lab serves as a key representative of the Company by ensuring the accurate and timely collection of milk samples for laboratory testing. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to supporting the health and productivity of dairy operations.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5am-2pm

Starting Pay: $22.60

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Visit assigned dairy customers on a daily basis to collect milk samples according to established schedules
  • Ensure milk samples are properly handled, documented, and prepared for laboratory testing
  • Deliver collected samples to the designated laboratory within required timeframes .
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with dairy producers through professional and responsive customer interactions
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members regarding collection schedules, service needs, and operational updates
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sample collection activities
  • Operate a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks within the office as needed.
  • Provide support for minor laboratory functions and sample-processing activities as assigned
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures and quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Experience

  • Previous delivery, route service, agricultural, or customer-facing experience preferred
  • Experience working independently and managing daily responsibilities with minimal supervision preferred

  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to frequently enter and exit a vehicle throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach regularly
  • Ability to work in agricultural environments and varying weather conditions

Work Environment

  • Frequent travel to dairy customer locations within an assigned territory
  • Regular interaction with dairy producers, laboratory personnel, and internal team members
  • Combination of field-based customer visits, driving, office support, and laboratory support activities

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.

$22.60 - $29.33
