About this role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in modernizing critical Home Lending servicing applications that support escrow operations and call center functions. You will help drive the transformation of legacy .NET-based systems into a modern, scalable architecture while ensuring the reliability and performance of applications that directly impact our customers and business operations.
This position is essential to mitigating risk across a portfolio of mission-critical applications as the current subject matter expert transitions from the organization. You'll partner with business and technology teams to enhance system capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and deliver innovative solutions that support Home Mortgage servicing. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys balancing modernization initiatives with the ownership and stewardship of highly visible production systems.
In this role, you will
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years using C#, .NET 8/9+, ASP.NET Core, REST and event driven architecture
Desired Qualifications
- Full stack engineering experience
- Proficiency in Angular/React
- Proficiency with xUnit, NUnit, MSTest or equivalent
- Experience in performance engineering tools like NBomber, JMeter
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD
