Overview

We are seeking a Business Process Consultant to identify, design, and implement opportunities that optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders to evaluate current-state processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, develop future-state solutions, and drive successful adoption of process improvements. The ideal candidate is a strategic and highly detail-oriented consultant who can translate complex business needs into practical process improvements. Strong Senior/Executive-level PowerPoint and presentation skills are required, as this individual will regularly communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. This is a remote opportunity. All qualified candidates must be authorized to work without visa sponsorship or visa transfers. Please note that we do not work C2C.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement optimized business processes that improve efficiency, quality, consistency, and scalability.
  • Partner with business and functional stakeholders to document current-state processes and define future-state processes.
  • Develop actionable recommendations based on process analysis, stakeholder input, and business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual, repetitive, or inefficient processes and support implementation of automation solutions.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives from discovery and analysis through implementation and adoption.
  • Develop process maps, workflows, requirements, presentations, and other supporting documentation.
  • Analyze process performance and identify opportunities to reduce cycle time, manual effort, errors, and operational costs.
  • Facilitate working sessions and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, align on solutions, and drive decisions.
  • Communicate complex information and recommendations clearly to senior and executive-level audiences.
  • Create polished, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that communicate process findings, recommendations, business impacts, and implementation plans.
  • Present recommendations and project updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of new and improved processes.
  • Monitor implementation results and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
  • 5–7 years of process engineering experience. Candidates with comparable or transferable process engineering experience in related industries will also be considered.
  • Senior-level consulting experience demonstrated success leading business process improvement and optimization initiatives.
  • Exceptional Microsoft PowerPoint and executive presentation skills are required, with the ability to develop polished, compelling presentations for senior and executive-level audiences is required.
  • Ability to translate process opportunities into business requirements to help support process automation.
  • Proven experience analyzing, redesigning, and implementing business processes to improve efficiency, quality, consistency, and scalability.
  • Strong experience partnering with business and functional stakeholders to assess current-state processes, identify gaps, and define future-state solutions.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for automation and reduction of manual effort and supporting implementation of automation solutions.
  • Experience developing executive-level business cases, recommendations, roadmaps, and status presentations.
  • Strong process mapping and business process management experience.
  • Experience with process mapping and workflow tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or similar business and technology tools.
  • Experience supporting organizational transformation, operational excellence, continuous improvement, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to facilitate stakeholder working sessions, drive alignment, and support adoption of new processes.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Experience working in a large enterprise or complex, matrixed organization preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement with expected salary range of $110,000-$120,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
