JD Irving Limited is looking for a skilled Bench Person to join our Central Filing team and help us deliver excellence to our customers.

What You’ll Do

Blade Inspection

Conduct thorough inspections of saw blades to identify visible defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards to minimize operational downtime.

Blade Maintenance

Use specialized tools and techniques to hammer out imperfections and restore saw blades to optimal condition.

Forklift Operation

Safely operate a forklift to transport blades and filing equipment, supporting smooth and efficient operations.

Automated Equipment Management

Operate and program automated grinding machines, inputting recipes to maintain blade precision and consistent performance.

Safety Compliance

Follow strict workplace safety standards, proactively identifying risks to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

What We’re Looking For

Education and Experience

Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred: Additional technical training in equipment maintenance and one year of experience in blade filing or sawmill equipment maintenance.

Skills and Certifications

Forklift operator certification (required).
Knowledge of blade inspection, repair techniques, and automated grinding machine operation (preferred).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to lift, pull, and hammer materials with precision.
Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and eagerness to learn new processes.
