Are you looking to begin your career in a modern, supportive and growing accountancy firm? At Eight Tax and Accountancy , we’re not your typical practice. We’re expanding rapidly and are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join us as a Tax & Accountancy Apprentice .

Whether you’re taking your first step into the industry or already have some experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain real, hands-on experience while working towards a professional qualification – all within a company that genuinely supports your development.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assisting in the preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Supporting the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
Helping to complete VAT returns and maintain accurate bookkeeping records
Managing Companies House filings (confirmation statements, director changes, etc.)
Assisting with client onboarding, AML checks and engagement letters
Communicating with clients and handling day-to-day queries
Gaining exposure to tax planning, business start-ups and other advisory work
Liaising with HMRC and third parties on behalf of clients

What We’re Looking For

A strong interest in developing a career in accountancy and tax
Sound numerical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with Xero or other accounting software is an advantage, though training will be provided
A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Full support and funding towards AAT / ACCA / ACA qualifications
Hybrid working : 3 days in the office, 2 days wherever you work best
