Join our team as a Senior Graphic Designer!
This is a fixed hybrid role (Tuesday – Thursday onsite, Monday and Friday remote) out of Maple Plain, MN.
The Senior Graphic Designer on Protolabs’ U.S. marketing team is responsible for both conceptual and production design across marketing’s creative ecosystem, while also serving as a steward of brand excellence. Partnering heavily with our regional team as well as our global brand team, this role combines hands-on design execution with strategic brand leadership, ensuring all creative output is modern, consistent, and effective across channels.
The ideal candidate is a proactive designer who can produce high-impact campaign and channel assets (digital and physical), develop and lead internal creative review processes within the U.S. region, and serve as a brand coach to marketing partners. The role will also contribute to improving creative workflows, adopting new tools (including AI-enabled design), and elevating the overall creative standard across the marketing team and Protolabs organization.
What You Will Do
- Product Positioning & Messaging : Develop Sheet Metal product positioning and leading messaging that resonates with target customers, ensuring consistent communication across all marketing channels.
- Go-to-Market Strategy : Provide input into the Sheet Metal and Aerospace & Defense GTM Strategy. Create and execute go-to-market product launches and other product-related initiatives.
- Content Creation : Collaborate with Creative Operations and GTM Enablement Specialist to develop marketing materials and collateral that supports product positioning.
- Campaign Management : Support Demand Gen team with campaign positioning, messaging, customer and market insights.
- Sales Enablement : Work closely with the GTM Enablement Specialist to provide the necessary information to build tools and resources, including training materials, sales decks, competitive analysis, and product FAQs, to successfully sell the product.
- Market Research & Analysis : Conduct research to identify target audiences by industry, assess competitor trends, and understand customer needs throughout the product lifecycle.
What it Takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management or product marketing.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, audience segmentation, and product positioning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Experience with Sheet Metal or manufacturing materials preferred.
- Proficiency with marketing tools (CRM, email marketing, analytics, etc.
- Willingness to travel to tradeshows and events.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media.
- B2B, B2C and/or e-commerce experience highly desired.
- Experience using multiple marketing channels and tactics to raise awareness, drive demand, and deliver revenue.
