About The Role
Role Summary
The QA/QC Manager serves as the Management Representative (MR) and is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS) across all Nass Contracting sites and departments. This role involves reporting IMS performance and improvement recommendations to top management, as well as promoting customer requirements and quality standards throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update SHEQ procedures for all Nass companies.
- Supervise amendments and revisions to SHEQ documentation.
- Control and distribute all SHEQ-related documents across the organization.
- Conduct internal and external audits on behalf of company management.
- Verify contractor quality requirements and review vendor documentation submissions.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate project requirements with bidders.
- Participate in client quality management meetings.
- Prepare and manage project quality system documentation before project commencement.
- Review qualifications and training needs of quality inspection personnel.
- Monitor and manage non-conformance reports and their resolution.
- Coordinate QA/QC activities with site teams.
- Monitor and report using statistical quality control methods.
- Address and close customer complaints effectively.
- Archive all project documentation upon completion.
- Maintain AS-BUILT marked-up drawings monthly, ensuring at least 80% alignment with actual site progress.
- Follow up with subcontractors to ensure timely development of AS-BUILT drawings, targeting 80% progress accuracy.
- Implement pre-job briefings for site execution teams based on approved method statements.
- Perform various assignments assigned by the General Manager – Nass Contracting.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a post graduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Minimum 15-20 years of experience in the construction industry, with relevant GCC experience.
- Eligible for CRPEP grade A registration
- Excellent organizing and coordinating skills.
- Ability to gather and analyse statistical data, budgeting and generate reports.
- Ability to use language and communications translation issues and activities as necessary to enable effective relations and integration.
- Excellent database management skills.
