About The Role
Your Role as Cyber Security Engineer
The Cyber Security Engineer, a hands-on technical role, is a member of the Infrastructure & Security Team and works closely with the other members of the broader Business Solutions Group to support implementation of a comprehensive network and security controls.
In this role you will also
- Work with various business units and with other risk functions to identify security requirements, using methods that may include risk and business impact assessments.
- System security administration, gap analysis, security controls design and implementation
- Support information security initiatives which include large-scale transformational projects, such as upgrading and hardening legacy operating systems and web applications using industry best practices.
- Perform vulnerability scanning, assessment, and prioritisation of remediation requirements for endpoints, servers, and network devices.
- Translate solution designs into technical specifications and implementation steps as per the business requirements.
- Perform analysis on security architecture and make recommendations for system and security enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to information security controls.
- Critically analyse and interpret security policies and ISMS requirements and proactively recommend improvements to enhance security posture.

What We’re Looking For
- Degree in information technology or equivalent work experience. (Security focused certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, Security+, is preferred).
- Excellent conceptual ability, skills in analysis and problem solving.
- Previous experience in network or systems engineer roles in complex technology environments
- Experience in Network & Systems Security (Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, Anti-Malware), SIEM, Active Directory, Access Control, O365 & Azure, OS hardening, vulnerability scanning and patching, CASB and cloud security.
- Knowledge and experience in working with IT security policies and procedures aligned with regulatory standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001 or equivalent.
