Manufacturing Safety Coordinator

Starting Salary: From $70,000/year(Higher compensation available based on experience.)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support workplace safety programs in a manufacturing and fabrication environment. This hands-on role focuses on hazard identification, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while helping maintain a safe and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Hazard Prevention
- Maintain a regular presence throughout production and fabrication areas.
- Observe work activities and identify potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Work directly with employees and supervisors to reinforce safe practices.
- Promote a proactive safety culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement.
Inspections & Corrective Actions
- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and observations.
- Document findings and track corrective actions through completion.
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce workplace risks.
- Support compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Training & Employee Support
- Assist with new-hire safety orientations and onboarding.
- Support toolbox talks, safety meetings, and employee training .
- Provide practical safety coaching to employees and supervisors.
- Communicate safety requirements and best practices across the workforce.
Incident Response
- Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss reporting .
- Participate in investigations and root cause analysis .
- Help develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow up to verify corrective actions are completed effectively.
Safety Administration
- Maintain safety records, training documentation, inspection reports, and related files.
- Assist with regulatory and internal compliance documentation.
- Support ongoing improvements to safety programs and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Technology , or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in safety, EHS, risk management, manufacturing, or an industrial environment preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard recognition, inspections, and incident investigation .
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with employees and supervisors at all levels.
- ASP, CSP, or related safety certification preferred.
- Comfortable working directly in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
