Purpose of Role

As the Store Manager at Paradise Games, you exist to lead and operate a single retail location with financial discipline, operational control, and accountable people leadership.

In our mission to be the most trusted operator in The Bahamas, you are fully responsible for ensuring your store operates profitably, safeguards all cash and assets, upholds internal controls, and delivers a consistent customer experience. You translate company standards into disciplined daily execution.

Without strong financial control and people leadership at store level, operational integrity fails.

What You Will Take Ownership Of

You are fully accountable for the financial performance, cash integrity, operational discipline, and team effectiveness of your assigned store. You act as custodian of all cash within the location, managing and maintaining the safety of cash, cash bags, and related assets while ensuring strict adherence to reconciliation procedures, variance reporting, and internal controls. You are responsible for auditing cashier reconciliations, monitoring shortages, investigating discrepancies, and enforcing corrective action where required. You drive store sales and profitability by monitoring daily performance, controlling store-level expenses, and ensuring disciplined operational execution at all times.

You manage the full employee lifecycle within your store, including recruitment and selection in collaboration with HR, onboarding oversight, scheduling, attendance monitoring, timekeeping accuracy, payroll preparation, coaching, and performance accountability. You are responsible for enforcing standards, developing team capability, addressing underperformance decisively, and ensuring the store opens and closes on time in full compliance with company policies and brand standards. You also handle escalated customer matters and ensure timely resolution aligned with company values.

Authority & Decision Rights: You are authorised to prepare and manage staff schedules, oversee shift allocations, and ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll preparation for your store. You may participate in recruitment interviews and make hiring recommendations in collaboration with HR, subject to final approval by the Head of Retail. You may execute performance-based actions, including coaching, written warnings, and make recommendations for promotions, or terminations, in collaboration with HR and subject to final approval. You are empowered to make routine operational decisions necessary to maintain store readiness, sales performance, profitability, and customer experience. You are responsible for escalating cash variances, compliance breaches, safety risks, or operational irregularities immediately to the Head of Retail and Finance where required. Your authority is limited to your assigned store and does not extend to district-wide oversight.

Who You Will Collaborate With

You will report directly to the Head of Retail and are accountable for the financial and operational performance of your assigned store. Success in this role requires structured collaboration with HR on recruitment, performance management, and payroll coordination, Finance on cash reporting and reconciliation, Compliance on adherence to regulations, and Safety and District Supervisors to ensure compliance, and Marketing and Corporate teams on approved promotional initiatives.

  • Operational Excellence : Store opens and closes on time with full compliance to company standards and brand requirements.
  • People Performance : Overseeing recruitment & selection processes, making strong hiring decisions, maintaining stable staffing, reduced absenteeism, and improved individual accountability within your team.
  • Customer Experience : Creating a hospitable customer service experience. Timely resolution of customer complaints and consistent service standards.

Who Is the Ideal Person

Experience & Skills

  • Store Leadership: 3–5 years’ experience managing a retail or operational environment with direct responsibility for financial performance and team execution.
  • Cash Custodianship: Demonstrated experience managing and safeguarding significant cash volumes, auditing reconciliations, and enforcing internal controls.
  • People & Hiring: Proven ability to recruit, select, and develop frontline staff while managing scheduling, payroll preparation, and performance accountability.
  • Operational Control: Confidence to enforce policies, investigate discrepancies, drive sales performance, and lead decisively in a fast-paced retail environment.
