About The Role

Job Summary: This position supports plant manufacturing by utilizing quality control standards, procedures, and statistical techniques in order to develop and maintain quality standards. The position applies fundamental knowledge of basic principles, theories and concepts of industry standards and practices to support the planning, coordination and direction of quality systems for continuous improvement within the plant.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assists in the development and implementation of a formalized quality system. Actively participates on plant teams to promote continuous improvement of processes, procedures and work instructions. Studies, analyzes and recommends methods of improvement. Supports manufacturing operations and plant support groups by providing quality data analysis. Coordinates problem solving activities within manufacturing regarding customer complaints. Drives accountability for corrective actions until completion. This involves education and coordination of problem resolution activities. Assists engineers to define and analyze process conditions, conduct capability studies and improve line capabilities. Monitors and revises processes to help generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process. Other projects/duties as assigned. Physical/Environ. Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms The employee is frequently required to walk throughout the facility The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain close vision for detailed inspection work The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne particles The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office noise levels to loud industrial levels Scope Manufacturing Plant.

Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Plastic, Polymer, Mechanical, or Manufacturing), Science, or related technical discipline OR equivalent professional experience demonstrating required technical and quality competency Experience Minimum 5-7+ years of progressive quality assurance, quality control, or quality engineering experience in manufacturing Proven experience in polymer, masterbatch, or specialty chemical manufacturing environments Experience with color matching, pigment technology, or polymer processing preferred Demonstrated expertise in quality testing, process control, and root cause analysis Track record of successful customer complaint investigation and resolution Familiarity with manufacturing equipment operation and troubleshooting Comprehensive knowledge of quality testing methods and analytical techniques Proficiency in process control, capability analysis, and quality documentation Familiarity with lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies Additional Information This position may require occasional weekend or shift work depending on operational needs Flexibility and willingness to work on special projects and new product development initiatives Excellent communication and customer interaction skills Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance Continuous learning and skill development expected
