<p>Remote World is partnering with a US-based HR and payroll software company to hire for this role. They serve over 10,000 SMEs across the US, and their support team is a key driver of the customer experience — people need their payroll to work, and when something goes wrong, they need help fast.</p>
<h3>The role</h3>
<p>You'll be a first-line support agent handling inbound queries via live chat and email — answering questions about payroll runs, tax filings, employee records, and integrations. You'll troubleshoot issues, guide customers through fixes, and escalate anything that needs a product specialist.</p>
<h3>What you'll do</h3>
<ul>
<li>Handle inbound support queries via live chat and email</li><li>Guide customers through payroll processing, tax settings, and account management</li><li>Troubleshoot integration issues with accounting software and time-tracking tools</li><li>Document recurring issues for the knowledge base and product team</li><li>Escalate unresolved issues with full context and troubleshooting history</li>

<h3>What you'll need</h3>
<ul>
<li>Excellent written English — professional and easy to follow</li><li>Patient and methodical — you work through issues step by step</li><li>Reliable — customers depend on you being available and responsive</li><li>Comfortable learning software products and explaining them to non-technical users</li>
</ul>
<h3>Nice to have</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience in HR, payroll, or accounting software support</li><li>Familiarity with helpdesk tools (Zendesk, Freshdesk, or similar)</li><li>Background in HR administration or payroll processing</li>
</ul>
