&lt;p&gt;Remote World is partnering with a UK-based software company to hire for this role. They build workflow automation tools used by operations teams at mid-size businesses, and quality is taken seriously at every release — the QA team is a core part of engineering, not an afterthought.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;The role&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You&#39;ll test new features and bug fixes before they reach production — writing test cases, executing manual test runs, logging defects clearly, and working with developers to get issues resolved. Over time, you&#39;ll contribute to building out automated test coverage.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;What you&#39;ll do&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Write and execute manual test cases for new features and bug fixes&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Log defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and evidence&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Perform regression testing before each release&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Work closely with developers to clarify requirements and verify fixes&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Contribute to automation test scripts as you build familiarity with the codebase&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;What you&#39;ll need&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Understanding of software testing principles — you know what good test coverage looks like&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Methodical and thorough — you don&#39;t rush testing and document everything clearly&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Good written English for clear bug reports and test documentation&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Comfortable working in an agile team with regular release cycles&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;Nice to have&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Experience with API testing using Postman&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;ISTQB Foundation certificate or studying towards it&lt;/li&gt;
