Job Summary

The Closer plays a critical role in the successful execution of Mergers and Acquisitions mandates by managing and coordinating all activities and negotiations required to bring transactions to completion. This includes overseeing final due diligence processes, managing the preparation and execution of transaction documents, facilitating communication between buyers, sellers, and legal or financial advisors, and ensuring that all deal terms and closing conditions are accurately implemented.

The role demands exceptional attention to detail, negotiation insight, and the ability to navigate complex deal dynamics under pressure. The Closer ensures that each transaction is completed efficiently, compliantly, and in line with client objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Analysis

• Understanding and execution of M&A activities including financial due diligence, legal diligence, and traditional investment banking practices

Project Management

• Manage many deals and workstreams, including the preparation of deal economic analysis, deal structuring, and staying abreast of client financial performance and operations
• Operating to a timeline, setting dates, and communicating the importance of the schedule to a disparate group
• Relationship management across clients, buyers, and other 3rd parties
• Confidently negotiate complex structures and deal terms to a close.

Required Education and Experience

• Relevant B-degree in finance, law, economics and/or accounting.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in M&A and/or finance within a client-facing role, of which at least 2 years must involve financial modeling.
• Intermediary Excel skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Advanced post graduate degree in investment banking.
• Advanced Excel skills.
