Job Summary
The Editor is responsible for reviewing and refining written content on sellers’ companies to ensure accuracy and engaging content, as well as professional-standard formatting. In so doing delivering content that resonates with buyers and meets the highest standards of quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review the output of a team of writers to ensure the team consistently produces:
- High-quality, investor-ready materials
- Narratives tailored to the client’s business type, issues, the seller’s goals, and key selling points valued by potential buyers
- Writing that is clear and succinct
- Compelling, engaging content
- Coherent narrative between writers’ output and write-ups added by the financial analyst team
- Set and uphold excellence in editorial standards and style guides
- Train and mentor team members on best practices
Required Education and Experience
- Relevant B-Degree – Journalism with one major in economics or a finance/investment related subject.
- Minimum 5 years editor or journalism experience in a financial publication entity or investment environment with a strong focus on editorial excellence.
Preferred Education and Experience
- M&A or equity research experience
- Certificate in finance, investment or economics
