About The Role
VPZ are the market-leading vape and e-cig retailer in the UK. With over 150 stores across the country, and continuing to expand across the UK, we're now looking for someone special to join us in VPZ Head Office in Newbridge, as a Product Development Assistant. Think you're up for the challenge?
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Product Development Assistant with a keen interest in the vape industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of liquid trends, new releases, and a genuine enthusiasm for vaping. This role will support the Product Development Manager in researching, planning, and executing the development of new products.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and analysing current and emerging liquid trends in the vape industry.
- Monitor competitor products and market developments to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to conceptualize and prototype new vaping liquids.
- Conduct product testing and gather feedback to ensure high standards of quality and performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of product specifications, development processes, and testing results.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source new products as quickly as possible.
- Support the preparation of product launch materials, including specifications, user manuals, and marketing content (How to Videos etc).
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and online forums to stay informed about the latest trends and innovations.
- Provide administrative support to the Product Development team as needed.
Qualifications / Experience / Competencies
- Strong interest in the vape industry, with a focus on liquid trends.
- Previous experience in product development, research, or a related role is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
