About the Project
The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometres farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components.
Overview
TRP has a current vacancy for a Requirements Coordinator who will provide ownership and governance and assurance of project requirements to ensure clarity, consistency, traceability, and controlled evolution across design stages and disciplines, in compliance with DMCA obligations and applicable rail industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the project requirements framework and baseline (and familiar with Req Tools).
- Manage requirements flow-down from DMCA to system, subsystem, and interface levels.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, design outputs, and V&V activities.
- Coordinate with discipline leads to ensure consistent interpretation and allocation of requirements.
- Govern requirements change, including impact assessment and baseline updates.
- Support design reviews and Contracting Authority interactions related to requirements compliance.
- Ensure alignment and consistency across specifications, reports, and related design documents.
- Ensure requirements quality (completeness, consistency, testability).
- Support verification and validation planning through requirements structuring.
- Manage change control and impact assessment of requirements updates.
- Support audits and review, V&V gates).
- Maintain requirements in tools such as IBM DOORS.
Interfaces
- Works closely with Systems Engineering, V&V, Assurance, Interface Management, and Design Leads.
Qualifications
- Experience in requirements on complex infrastructure / rail projects.
- Able to work across disciplines and design stages in a progressive design environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Systems, Transportation or related discipline)
- 5-10 years in system engineering/requirements management in complex infrastructure or rail projects.
- Strong experience with requirements management tool (DOORS).
- Understanding of system engineering lifecycle (ISO 15288).
- Knowledge of rail standards (CENELEC, NFPA, AREMA).
- Strong analytical and structured thinking.
