About The Role
Warehouse Specialist
Summary
Responsible for coordinating with daily warehouse activities, performing basic shipping, and receiving. Assemble or manufacture machine accessories and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications to meet high volume customer requirements.
Essential Functions
- Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies
- Process customer return orders as needed - RMAs
- Process PO receipts for delivered goods into inventory
- Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble accessories
- Utilize all hand-held tools such as a hand-held screwdriver, drill and solder gun, crimping, stripping tools
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Maintain accurate and organized inventory of manufacturing components and tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Acts as a back up to other functions within the department as needed
- Operate forklift & other facility equipment with utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety
- Support other duties as signed
Competencies
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Timeliness in following up on contracts
- Awareness of budget constraints
- Good math skills and is quickly able to calculate the cost of goods and service
- Responsible for managing company funds
- 2 years mechanical assembly experience may be required Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
- Ability to work independently
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
- Experience or knowledge of machining and CNC operations helpful
Work Environment
A Warehouse Specialist will work in a variety of different environments including offices, warehouses, and storerooms. One of these positions can require a great deal of standing, stooping and heavy lifting when inventorying items, and can involve sitting for extended periods of time when placing orders or recording data. Workers will also frequently be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Depending on the products being ordered, individuals can sometimes encounter hazardous chemicals, and may need to wear protective clothing when handling these items.

- May be required to lift to 75# boxes
- Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks
- Possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or 3+ years’ work experience in warehouse management and facilities
- Forklift safety and operator certification
- 1-3 yrs. related experience or training in Manufacturing Assembly
