About The Role

As a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer – Tool Shop , you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tools, molds, and tool shop equipment to support uninterrupted production operations.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for tooling and tool shop equipment.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for molds, tools, and mechanical equipment.
  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain standard maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Coordinate repairs, overhauls, and modifications of production tools and molds.
  • Monitor tooling performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure proper maintenance records are maintained and updated.
  • Monitor spare parts availability and support inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with 5S, GMP, quality, and safety standards within the Tool Shop.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment; experience in tooling, molds, or plastics processing is considered an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance principles.
  • Experience with troubleshooting mechanical equipment and production tooling.
  • Good understanding of machining processes, molds, dies, and precision mechanical components.
  • Experience with maintenance planning systems (SAP is an advantage).
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
