About The Role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Advanced Cyb Sec Archt/Engr based in Brazil.

This is a senior cybersecurity engineering opportunity focused on protecting industrial automation, OT, and process control <environments.You> will lead or contribute to complex cybersecurity projects, from assessments and secure network design through implementation and troubleshooting.The role combines IT and OT security expertise with industrial networking, risk management, and <compliance.You> will work with international customers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, resilient, and high-quality technical solutions.The position offers exposure to critical industries such as oil and gas, power generation, petrochemicals, and <manufacturing.It> also provides opportunities to support offshore operations while working within demanding operational and safety requirements.The role is remote in Brazil, with offshore rotations and project-based travel as required.

Accountabilities

  • Lead or support cybersecurity project execution, ensuring delivery meets agreed timelines, scope, quality, and budget objectives.
  • Act as a technical lead or senior technical contributor within onshore and offshore engineering teams.
  • Conduct network and OT cybersecurity assessments aligned with recognized frameworks and standards, including IEC 62443, NIST, and ISO.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot secure industrial network architectures and process control environments.
  • Provide cybersecurity incident response, vulnerability analysis, risk assessment, and remediation recommendations.
  • Support the deployment and operation of cybersecurity solutions across industrial and process control networks.
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of enterprise, industrial, and third-party networking and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Build trusted customer relationships through effective communication and high-quality technical delivery.
  • Support offshore assignments and rotations when required, including a 14-days-on/14-days-off schedule.
  • Maintain required industrial safety compliance, training, and professional certifications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Telecommunications, Process Control, Electronics, or another related technical discipline; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.

At least 5 years of experience in industrial automation, networking, systems engineering, or related technical environments.

At least 5 years of experience working with IT and/or OT cybersecurity and industrial networks.

Proven experience executing technical projects and delivering cybersecurity or network solutions.

Experience conducting technical audits, cybersecurity assessments, or compliance reviews.

Experience with virtualization technologies and enterprise/industrial infrastructure.

Current certification as a Cisco Certified Network, Design, or Security Professional, or willingness to obtain the required certification within one year.

Knowledge of cybersecurity risk management, security solutions, firewalls, network security, and security policies.

Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex network, application, and system integration issues.

Experience or knowledge in industrial automation, SCADA, DCS, process control systems, or telecommunications is highly valued.

Familiarity with Linux security fundamentals, fiber optics, and cybersecurity risk analysis is an advantage.

Experience with process control system design and implementation, including DCS/SIS, is desirable.

Knowledge of industrial risk analysis methodologies, including HAZOP-related practices, is a plus.

Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.

Willingness and ability to work in offshore environments and comply with applicable industrial safety requirements.
