About The Role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sponsorships & Partnerships Manager based in Australia.
This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity for a commercially minded relationship builder who knows how to turn connections into meaningful business <opportunities.You> will own the development of sponsorships, strategic partnerships, referral relationships and industry collaborations.The role combines business development, sales, negotiation and relationship management, with a strong focus on measurable commercial <outcomes.You> will build partnerships across events, finance, insurance, HR, recruitment, software, marketing and other services relevant to trade business <owners.You> will also expand reach through podcasts, webinars, content collaborations, industry events and strategic alliances.Success will be measured through revenue generation, audience growth, sponsor retention, member value and increased industry <influence.You>'ll have significant autonomy to identify opportunities, create compelling propositions and build a scalable partnerships ecosystem from the ground up.
Accountabilities
- Build and manage the sponsorship strategy, identifying prospective sponsors and developing compelling commercial packages for events and other initiatives.
- Prospect and engage potential partners, confidently opening conversations with decision-makers and progressing opportunities from initial contact through negotiation and agreement.
- Develop long-term sponsorship relationships focused on mutual value, retention and opportunities for expansion rather than one-off transactions.
- Build and grow a partner network across finance, insurance, HR, recruitment, software, marketing and other relevant business services.
- Negotiate member benefits, referral arrangements and revenue-sharing opportunities where appropriate.
- Identify and develop strategic collaborations across podcasts, webinars, content, industry events, speaking opportunities and other channels.
- Manage a significant partnership pipeline, maintaining strong organisation, follow-up discipline and visibility across opportunities.
- Work closely with Events, Marketing, Leadership and Coaching teams to align partnerships with commercial and member objectives.
- Represent the organisation professionally with external stakeholders and develop relationships across the broader trades ecosystem.
- Track and optimise partnership performance, focusing on revenue, lead generation, audience reach, sponsor retention and member value.
- Take ownership of building repeatable partnership processes, systems and opportunities that can scale with the business.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in sponsorships, partnerships, business development, B2B sales, events or strategic account management.
- Proven ability to build relationships from a cold start and confidently engage senior decision-makers and potential commercial partners.
- Strong sales, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate a compelling value proposition clearly.
- Commercial mindset with a strong understanding of how partnerships can generate revenue, leads, brand exposure and customer value.
- Experience managing a substantial pipeline and remaining organised throughout potentially long sales cycles.
- Persistence, initiative and resilience, with the ability to create opportunities rather than wait for predefined leads or processes.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to develop trust with a diverse range of external stakeholders.
- Creative and strategic thinking, particularly when identifying ways for two organisations to create mutual commercial value.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence representing a brand in external meetings, events and industry settings.
- High level of ownership, autonomy and accountability, with the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
- A proactive, opportunity-oriented approach and genuine interest in developing long-term strategic relationships.
