Join a senior engineering role focused on building data-intensive dashboard products for game <publishers.You> will design production-grade backend services, APIs, data models, and intuitive frontend experiences.The role combines deep backend ownership with hands-on development in TypeScript and <React.You> will work across complex systems, integrations, data pipelines, and legacy modernization <initiatives.As> a technical leader, you will influence architecture, engineering standards, and development practices across <teams.You>’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders in a dynamic, distributed environment.The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape reliable, scalable products used at global scale.

Accountabilities

  • Design and implement production-grade backend services, RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and data models that support complex, multidimensional dashboard experiences.
  • Own features end-to-end, from requirements definition through production deployment, including backend integrations, data pipelines, APIs, and frontend experiences.
  • Develop scalable frontend solutions using TypeScript and React, with a strong focus on component architecture, state management, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
  • Integrate multiple systems and legacy services while ensuring data consistency and reliability across downstream applications.
  • Drive modernization initiatives, balancing new product development with ongoing maintenance and migration of existing systems.
  • Lead technical design reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and promote high-quality development practices.
  • Contribute to shared UI patterns, frontend architecture standards, and backend design conventions across the broader engineering environment.
  • Partner with Product and Design teams to transform complex data and user workflows into intuitive, high-performing dashboard experiences.
  • Monitor and proactively address reliability, performance, and user-experience issues through metrics, observability, and hands-on investigation.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and technical domains, helping align stakeholders around effective and scalable solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement through code reviews, testing, engineering best practices, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and developing production-grade backend services, APIs, and data models, with strong experience in Node.js.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex features across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through production, spanning both backend and frontend systems.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript and React, including component design, state management, performance optimization, and maintainable frontend architecture.
  • Experience building production-scale, data-driven products involving backend services, integrations, APIs, and user-facing applications.
  • Experience influencing architectural decisions, setting technical standards, or shaping the engineering direction of a team or product area.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams, systems, and codebases while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Strong ownership and autonomy, with the ability to navigate ambiguous environments, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals, including automated testing, code reviews, accessibility, maintainability, and production reliability.
  • Experience with design systems, no-code builders, or configuration-driven UI frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with frontend observability, including performance metrics, error tracking, and user-experience signals, is advantageous.
  • Experience in advertising, analytics, e-commerce, or other complex data-intensive domains is beneficial.
  • Exposure to cross-team technical alignment, engineering guilds, quality initiatives, or architectural governance is a plus.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required, as the role involves frequent communication with international colleagues and partners.
  • Applicants must be based in Canada. Relocation support and work visa/immigration sponsorship are not available for this position.

  • Competitive base salary ranging from CAD $103,000–$153,000 for Zone A or CAD $111,100–$161,100 for Zone B, depending on work location and relevant experience.
