This fully remote role provides essential administrative and operational support within a utilization management <environment.You>’ll help maintain accurate documentation and support processes designed to ensure members receive appropriate care and services.The position is well suited to an organized professional who enjoys structured workflows and detail-oriented <work.You>’ll collaborate with internal teams while managing multiple priorities and meeting defined quality and productivity standards.The role offers an opportunity to build experience in healthcare administration, utilization management, and member-focused <operations.You>’ll work within established procedures, with clear expectations, training, and support.Occasional travel for training or meetings may be required, while the primary work environment is remote.
Accountabilities
- Support utilization management policies, procedures, and day-to-day operational activities in accordance with established guidelines.
- Complete routine administrative, clerical, operational, customer support, and computational tasks accurately and within required timeframes.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and other information used to support utilization management activities.
- Prioritize assigned work, manage competing deadlines, and consistently meet quality, productivity, and timeliness expectations.
- Assist with activities that promote appropriate member care and services while following defined processes and compliance requirements.
- Identify and escalate questions, issues, or cases that fall outside established guidelines or require additional review.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support operational objectives and maintain efficient workflows.
- Navigate multiple computer applications simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Protect confidential member information and follow applicable privacy, security, and healthcare documentation requirements.
- Perform assigned responsibilities under established procedures and appropriate supervision, contributing to a consistent and reliable member experience.
Requirements
- Administrative or technical support experience, ideally in a structured operational or customer-focused environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy when handling repetitive or time-sensitive tasks.
- Strong typing, computer navigation, and multitasking skills, including the ability to work across several applications at the same time.
- Ability to organize competing priorities, manage deadlines, and consistently follow established procedures.
- A customer-focused mindset and genuine interest in contributing to better consumer and member experiences.
- Previous contact center or telephone-based customer service experience is preferred.
- Healthcare experience, including exposure to medical terminology, electronic medical records, documentation systems, utilization review, or prior authorization, is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 codes or managed care environments is preferred.
- A high school diploma is preferred.
- Previous experience working remotely or in a work-from-home environment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative, accountable, and responsive to team needs.
- For remote work, candidates must have reliable internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds, unless an alternative arrangement is approved.
- Ability to maintain a dedicated, interruption-free workspace suitable for protecting confidential member and health information.

- Annual salary: $39,000–$49,400, with actual compensation varying based on location, skills, experience, education, certifications, and other job-related factors.
