This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Compensation Specialist based in the United States.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping and administering global compensation programs across multiple geographies, including the U.S., India, and <Canada.You> will help ensure compensation practices remain competitive, equitable, accurate, and aligned with broader business strategy.The role combines compensation analytics, job architecture, market benchmarking, and end-to-end compensation cycle <management.You> will work closely with HR, Finance, Legal, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders across a global organization.Your insights will directly support pay decisions, promotions, organizational changes, workforce planning, and employee retention.The position is well suited to an analytical and collaborative compensation professional who enjoys improving processes and working with complex <data.You> will also have the opportunity to influence the evolution of scalable compensation practices and technology in a growing organization.

Accountabilities

Manage the day-to-day administration of global compensation programs, policies, and practices across multiple countries and geographic markets.

Own and maintain the organization’s job architecture, including job families, sub-families, career levels, job profiles, titles, compensation ranges, and market mappings.

Oversee monthly validation and refreshes of employee, job, and compensation data within compensation technology platforms, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Manage two annual compensation cycles from planning and eligibility through budgeting, system administration, communications, audits, and post-cycle reporting.

Manage compensation reviews for promotions, market adjustments, reorganizations, retention situations, and other off-cycle changes.

Conduct market pricing, benchmarking, internal equity reviews, salary structure analyses, and compensation positioning assessments across global employee populations.

Support compensation programs in India and other international markets by analyzing local market practices, salary structures, job leveling, and compensation positioning.

Partner with HR, Legal, Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and business stakeholders to ensure compensation programs are applied consistently and appropriately.

Lead and support the development, review, and maintenance of job descriptions, ensuring alignment with job architecture, career levels, compensation frameworks, and global standards.

Perform complex analyses related to pay positioning, salary range penetration, pay compression, pay inversion, promotions, internal equity, and workforce trends.

Develop recurring and ad hoc compensation reports, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations for HR and business leadership.

Support salary structure reviews, market movement analyses, geographic differential assessments, compensation surveys, and international market data submissions.

Support pay equity, pay transparency, and compensation compliance initiatives while monitoring emerging global compensation trends and regulatory developments.

Serve as a compensation subject matter expert, providing guidance to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition teams, managers, and senior leaders.

Develop compensation-related training, tools, documentation, and resources, and support sales commission or incentive compensation programs as needed.

Identify opportunities to improve compensation processes, systems, data quality, and operational efficiency as the organization continues to scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of progressive compensation experience, including compensation analysis and administration of compensation programs.
  • Experience supporting compensation programs across multiple countries or geographic markets.
  • Demonstrated expertise in job evaluation, market pricing, salary structures, job architecture, promotions, market adjustments, and compensation benchmarking.
  • Experience managing or supporting annual or semiannual compensation review cycles.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret large and complex datasets and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet tools, including lookups, pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, methodologies, global compensation practices, and market data.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex compensation information clearly to different audiences.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential compensation information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures, geographies, and time zones.
  • Experience supporting compensation programs in India, including familiarity with local market practices, benchmarking, salary structures, and reward programs, is preferred.
  • Experience with compensation platforms and market pricing tools such as Kamsa, Pave, <Salary.com>, PayScale, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Direct experience maintaining job architecture, benchmarking, and compensation data within Kamsa or comparable platforms is advantageous.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, compensation system integrations, global compensation surveys, pay equity analysis, or incentive compensation programs is preferred.
  • A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • Experience working in a growing, evolving, or complex global organization where compensation programs and job architecture are being developed or enhanced is highly valued.
