This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Field Tool Operations based in the United States.

This is a strategic individual-contributor role responsible for the reliable operation, evolution, and adoption of field technology platforms supporting Commercial and Medical Affairs teams across North <America.You> will oversee day-to-day technology operations, data acquisition, quality management, vendor performance, and service delivery for business-critical field tools.The role sits at the intersection of technology, data, commercial operations, and medical affairs, requiring strong collaboration across technical and business <teams.You> will help ensure platforms remain secure, reliable, well-documented, and aligned with evolving business needs.A key part of the role is identifying operational gaps, improving data quality, and driving greater adoption and engagement across field <users.You> will also contribute to technology enhancements, real-world data provisioning, platform training, and continuous improvement initiatives.This is an opportunity to influence how trusted data and technology enable informed decisions across a complex, fast-paced life sciences environment.

Accountabilities

Manage daily operations and ongoing technical support for field technology platforms used across Sales, Market Access, Marketing, and Medical Affairs, including application refreshes, calendars, runbooks, user communications, and operational support.

Develop and maintain application runbooks, user guides, FAQs, training materials, and other documentation required for effective platform adoption and support.

Establish robust quality controls for field applications following operational refreshes and develop alerts for critical failures, unusual trends, and other business-impacting issues.

Support application enhancements by documenting user requirements, technical specifications, architecture diagrams, data flows, and operational procedures, while translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.

Manage end-to-end service support for incidents, service requests, access issues, user inquiries, bugs, and other technical requirements, ensuring timely resolution and closure.

Oversee application deployments and production change migrations, maintaining appropriate code management, version control, deployment checklists, and release practices within an agile environment.

Manage vendor operations and establish service standards, KPIs, best practices, and performance measures to ensure consistent technical service quality.

Lead regular operational reviews with vendors, identifying performance gaps, improvement opportunities, and optimization initiatives.

Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and technology teams on upgrades, security patching, threat detection, testing, and other platform-related activities.

Ensure consistency between data warehouses, reporting platforms, executive dashboards, and field insights solutions, proactively identifying and resolving data gaps or inconsistencies.

Drive platform engagement by reviewing utilization trends, developing adoption strategies, supporting user onboarding, and delivering training sessions and office hours.

Support ongoing acquisition and quality validation of secondary real-world data from claims, EMR, laboratory, pharmacy, and other data partners.

Assist with provisioning real-world data products and platforms through business intelligence tools, enabling cross-functional teams to securely access and use patient data assets.

Identify operational weaknesses, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve service reliability, data quality, user experience, and technology performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, Information Management, or a related discipline.

8+ years of experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with strong knowledge of Commercial and Medical Affairs applications and technology solutions.

Strong understanding of technology product management, technical product support, service operations, and technology lifecycle practices.

Experience supporting technology platforms used by large and diverse field-user populations in fast-paced environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage and provision large volumes of data while maintaining high standards of accuracy, performance, and trust.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate needs assessments across commercial organizations and translate business requirements into comprehensive technology solutions.

Experience managing vendor relationships, service quality, operational KPIs, and technology support processes.

Strong project management, presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to broad business audiences.

Proven ability to operate effectively within matrixed organizations, build relationships across functions, and influence stakeholders without relying solely on direct authority.

Strong business acumen and the ability to articulate the business value of technology and data solutions.

Experience identifying operational risks and weaknesses and developing effective corrective action plans.

Strong team leadership and development capabilities, including experience growing and supporting others in direct or matrixed environments.

Ability to demonstrate initiative, embrace change, continuously learn, and maintain a results-oriented approach in a dynamic environment.

Strong alignment with collaborative, inclusive, analytical, and patient-focused working principles.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary: $142,000–$187,000, with actual compensation determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
