About The Role

Duties

To provide secretariat support to the committees/working groups/task forces related to family and women policies and to implement and co-ordinate programmes and related activities under the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, with main duties as follows:

(a) To assist in planning and implementation of funding schemes/initiatives related to family and women policies under the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, including drawing up materials like application forms and guidelines, organising and hosting briefings, vetting application materials and assessing proposals, monitoring the implementation of funded projects and review the related reports and documents, managing computer database, monitoring the performance of the funded organisations/contractors, handling and following up scheme/initiative-related enquiries and complaints, etc.;

(b) To assist in organising activities, including conducting procurement exercises, co-ordinating with Government departments, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and/or other stakeholders in service delivery, supervising the performance of contractors, compiling the list of guests/participants, drawing up event details, assigning relevant duties for subordinates, co-ordinating event logistics, etc.;

(c) To liaise with event organisers, NGOs, Government departments and/or other stakeholders, prepare programme briefs for senior’s consideration, and co-ordinate event details etc.;

(d) To co-ordinate publicity campaigns and events, managing thematic websites, arrange the production of video clips and other promotional materials, managing social media platforms, etc.;

(e) To provide secretariat support to the committees/working groups/task forces, including arranging meetings, preparing meeting papers, drafting reports and minutes, and following up on views and proposals, etc.;

(f) To handle general administrative matters;

(g) To supervise the work of his/her subordinates; and

(h) To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers, including performing work outside normal office hours.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should have -

(a) a bachelor degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;

(b) Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (See Note 1);

(c) six years or more full-time post-qualification working experience in general administration, including at least three years’ experience at managerial level. Experience in executive work or administration of funding schemes in the Government or public bodies is an advantage;

(d) good command of written Chinese and English, fluent Cantonese and English with basic knowledge of Putonghua;

(e) good command of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;

(f) good organising and analytical power, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and under pressure; and

(g) have a fine character and integrity, be responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic.

Pay

$66,075 per month

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of 24 months.
