The Business Intelligence Analyst acts as a subject-matter expert, leveraging data to define, develop, and communicate product strategy to clients, and senior leadership. As a member of a growing team, this role requires comfort with ambiguity, the ability to independently identify opportunities, and a strong sense of ownership. You will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on data, as well as recommending data-driven strategies to our product teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Use data and build models to help solve problems using analytical and/or numerical methodologies
  • Explore databases to leverage relevant information to optimize processes, identify areas of improvement and build strategy
  • Understand complex payment flow, define use cases to optimize current solutions
  • Look for patterns, inconsistencies, and areas of potential optimization
  • Communicate and understand client requests to help understand performance, and develop data solutions
  • Create custom reports for management to help aid in their day-to-day and give them the power to make informed and data-driven decisions
  • Work with our partners to prioritize and deliver important milestones and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain the ability to communicate complex data issues to various teams including product managers, engineers, and upper management

What you'll need to be successful

Must haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar analytical role
  • Bachelors in Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or other analytical field (or relevant work experience)
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, and SQL; Comfortable reasoning with abstract data requiring recursive or layered logic across tables
  • Proficiency with at least one visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience in data modeling, client management, analytics, and business savviness
  • Familiarity with at least one analytical tool like Python or R

Nice to Haves

  • More advanced knowledge of Python and/or development concepts
  • E-commerce and/or Payment Processing experience
