Animal Management Officer

About The Role

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys practical animal care, high-quality customer service and working within a supportive Community Safety environment.

  • Care for impounded dogs and cats daily
  • Support reunification, rehoming and registration outcomes
  • Maintain accurate animal and customer records
  • Respond to animal management enquiries
  • Assist with compliance and legislative administration
  • Monitor animal welfare, health and safety
  • Process payments, fees and daily reconciliations
  • Maintain a clean, safe animal facility

Position Description

We’re looking for a confident, compassionate and organised animal management professional who enjoys working with people and animals. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Dog and Cat Management and Control qualification
  • Experience handling and caring for animals
  • Strong customer service and public relations skills
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations calmly
  • Cash handling and receipting experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Microchipping or ROCS qualifications desirable
