The Role

You will bridge the gap between internal user support and enterprise systems administration. Ready to hit the ground running, you’ll be supported by senior engineers while working on high-level security tooling, automated deployments, and complex networking environments.

Key Responsibilities

Systems & Security Operations

• Identity & Access: Assist in managing Okta/OneLogin environments, ensuring secure and seamless access for our team.
• Endpoint Defense: Help maintain our MDM (Mobile Device Management) and EDR/XDR solutions to keep our fleet of devices hardened against threats.
• Automation: Write and maintain Bash or PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks (we value the ability to script from scratch and understand the logic behind the code).
• Linux Power User: Act as a go-to for Linux environments while providing secondary support for macOS and Windows.

Networking & Managed Services

• Foundational Networking: Assist with the configuration and monitoring of VPNs, VPCs, and VLANs. You’ll learn the nuances of SD-WAN in a live enterprise environment.
• Infrastructure as Code: Get exposure to orchestration tools like Ansible and build systems like CMake/GYP as you support our deployment pipelines.
• Tier 1-2 Support: Provide high-quality technical troubleshooting for our internal team and managed services clients.

Technical Toolkit (What You Bring)

• The Linux Mindset: You are an advid Linux user. You’re comfortable in the CLI and understand permissions, processes, and package management.
• Scripting Skill: You can write functional scripts (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to solve problems without relying on AI to do the thinking for you.
• Networking Fundamentals: You understand the OSI model in practice—you know how to segment a network (VLANs) and how cloud networking (VPCs) differs from on-prem.
• The Stack: Familiarity (or a strong desire to learn) Okta, Ansible, and Enterprise Security suites.
• Education: Preferable experience at level 1/2 with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a high-level IT Diploma (Techtorium Level 7+) with a focus on systems/networking.
