HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Banking & Financial Services Attorney to join one of our valued client partners. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this specialized financial regulatory legal role.

Position Overview

This position is part of a Financial Regulatory and Compliance practice within a nationally recognized Banking and Financial Services group. The attorney will work closely with senior partners advising banks and non-bank financial institutions on complex regulatory and compliance matters impacting financial services operations.

The role requires a strong understanding of federal and state financial regulatory frameworks, as well as the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and provide practical legal guidance to institutional clients.

Attorneys in this practice regularly advise clients on matters involving payments, lending, mortgage servicing, and debt collection regulations, while also supporting regulatory investigations and transactional due diligence.

Core Responsibilities

  • Advise financial institutions on federal and state regulatory compliance matters
  • Support regulatory investigations, supervisory inquiries, and enforcement actions
  • Review and enhance client compliance management systems and risk frameworks
  • Analyze complex financial services statutes, regulations, and agency guidance
  • Conduct legal research and prepare regulatory analysis memoranda
  • Assist with regulatory due diligence in financial services M&A transactions
  • Work directly with regulatory bodies and financial services clients
  • Support practice development efforts including client alerts, presentations, and industry engagement

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Candidates must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for interview

  • 5–7 years of legal experience in banking or financial services regulatory law
  • Experience practicing at an Am Law 200 firm or strong regional law firm
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial services regulation and compliance matters
  • Experience advising banks, fintechs, or other financial institutions
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to analyze complex regulatory frameworks and provide actionable guidance
  • Excellent attention to detail and sound professional judgment
  • Active law license in good standing or eligibility for admission in the applicable jurisdiction
  • Stable employment history with consistent tenure (jumpy resumes will not be considered)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are strongly preferred

  • Experience working with payments, lending, debt collection, or mortgage servicing regulations
  • Background supporting regulatory due diligence in financial services M&A transactions
  • Experience interacting with federal and state financial regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to thought leadership, client development, or industry presentations
  • Strong interest in the evolving financial regulatory landscape and fintech sector

Work Model

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, allowing attorneys to work both remotely and in-office depending on location and practice group collaboration needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $200,000 – $220,000 plus bonus eligibility
