Job Description

Kanadevia Inova is recruiting a Project Cost Controller to support our Protos Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) project team, where Kanadevia Inova is constructing a carbon capture plant, located near Ellesmere Port in Cheshire, North West England. This position plays a key part in ensuring effective financial control and project performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor project costs, analyse deviations from plan, and provide accurate cost forecasts (cost to complete).
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Project Controller and key stakeholders across Head Office (Zurich) and site teams.
  • Manage local project costs, including petty cash, credit cards, and project bank accounts, in coordination with regional and HQ accounting.
  • Support revenue recognition and project margin control through accruals for Civil and Site Lots.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project budgets.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in cost control within construction, engineering, or project accounting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP (PS, SD, MM, FI modules).
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Solid understanding of project controlling, financial management, and EPC contract structures.
  • Experience with Percentage-of-Completion (PoC) accounting under IFRS is highly desirable.
