About The Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will step into classrooms across various age groups providing consistent, engaging, and supportive instruction to ensure student learning continues seamlessly in the absence of the regular teacher.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide day to day audio and visual supervision of the children while in the classroom and on
center property. Ensure all safety and hygiene standards are met or exceeded.
- Maintain classroom materials and remove those that need repair and communicate those
needs to the lead teacher.
- Aid the lead teacher in maintaining a prepared age-appropriate child environment that follows
- all center and state policies. The environment must be cleaned following all center and state
- policies and procedures.
- Communicate information from the lead teacher through center approved channels. Direct all
questions to be asked to the lead teacher or sent through center approved channels.
- Assist lead teacher in documenting of any behaviors and child learning. Aid lead teacher in
maintaining accurate child portfolios.
- Aid lead teacher in keeping and maintaining all center and state required daily logs and record
keeping for children in the classroom with regards to toileting, meals, and accident reports.
- Aid in ensuring all end of day cleaning and closing requirements are met per Center Director’s
expectations.
- Meet or exceed all training and certification requirements as set by the center and state.
- Provide all necessary documentation to the center director and ensure all digital record
- keeping is up to date via the state system.
Qualifications

- -Required DCYF trainings -Safe Sleep Training
- -Cleared background check -Food handler’s permit -Proof of MMR vaccine
- -30 Hours Basic STARS class -Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- -Negative TB Test -CPR/First Aid Training
- -Have completed a HS Diploma/GED equivalent or be in school to complete.
