Leeward Islands Lifestyle Services Ltd., home to Leeward Islands Hurricane Protection and SignPro, is Antigua’s leading manufacturer and supplier of hurricane and security shutters. The company also offers a wide range of signage solutions and is recognized for providing the largest selection of trophies, plaques, and medallions on island.

We are seeking to recruit a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our dedicated team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the telephone system to answer, screen, and forward incoming calls, provide information, receive messages, and schedule appointments.
  • Monitor and respond to emails, including communicating with customers, addressing inquiries, and sending quotations and invoices.
  • Maintain and update customer files and records, ensuring the customer database remains accurate and current.
  • Accurately record all invoices in QuickBooks and maintain organized electronic and physical records.
  • Assist the Financial and Administrative Manager with:
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Processing bank deposits
  • Reviewing cash sheets
  • Performing account reconciliations
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information while ensuring accounting errors are minimized.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of financial records for internal and external audits in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar accounting role.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in

Microsoft Office Suite

and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks is an asset).

  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and planning skills.
  • High level of integrity, honesty, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
