Associate Director, Family Recruitment & Engagement

The Nashville Family Recruitment Manager is a full-time exempt position on Rocketship Nashville’s Growth and Community Engagement Team. This role is responsible for leading and supporting the school’s team with new family recruitment efforts and creating a welcoming and seamless transition for families to our schools. This critical position will develop and execute the vision for the new family experience of 3 existing and any new schools that open in the Nashville Region.

This position directly manages the Family Recruitment team in executing recruitment strategies, including canvassing, community partnership building, and directly engaging with families. Family Recruiters must execute their responsibilities with passion, professionalism, and a high degree of customer service. This position requires flexibility of schedule, including willingness to occasionally work weekend and evening hours as events demand.

Essential Functions

Strategic Leadership and Team Management (35%)

• Lead and develop Family Recruitment staff.
• Set regional recruitment and engagement goals aligned with enrollment targets.
• Monitor performance through data and accountability systems.
• Partner with leaders to identify enrollment opportunities and challenges.

Family Recruitment Strategy and Community Partnerships (30%)

• Develop recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals.
• Build partnerships with community organizations and local leaders.
• Oversee recruitment events, school tours, and outreach efforts.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications on family outreach.

Family Engagement and School Partnership (20%)

• Support regional family engagement initiatives.
• Develop tools and best practices for schools.
• Coordinate family events and leadership opportunities.
• Partner with school leaders to improve family participation and retention.

Data Management and Enrollment Operations (15%)

• Oversee family facing recruitment and enrollment data systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Analyze recruitment, enrollment, retention, and engagement data to inform strategy and decision making.
• Ensure lottery and enrollment data integrity in partnership with network enrollment teams.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and forecasts related to recruitment and family engagement performance.
• Utilize data to identify enrollment risks and develop proactive solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Commitment to Rocketship’s mission and educational equity.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in recruitment, enrollment, family engagement, or related fields.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience building community partnerships and using data to drive results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in K–12 education, charter schools, or nonprofits.
• Spanish bilingual skills preferred.
• Experience with enrollment systems, CRM platforms, or family engagement tools.
