About The Role
- The Medical Affairs Manager is responsible for providing medical affairs team management and medical expertise for the company. Ensure medical leadership in generating medical strategy
- Lead the team to define medical strategy and provide medical support for cross functional needs
- Work with medical advisors to make sure medical plan in place and execution of the medical plan
- Coordinate advisors to cooperate with MSL team to develop tangible medical plan in local
- Lead the full scope of post-marketing study in China for medical evidence generation and strategically be aligned with the company direction
- Lead team to make sure medical activities performed as per plan and supervise the implementation of studies
- Make sure the team provide medical knowledge/support in the defined therapeutic area and build scientific leadership;
- Establish scientific and strategic partnerships with KOLs, collect their insights on therapeutic area and MCPC products, collaborate in medical and scientific activities;
- Work with dedicated MA to supervise the implementation of post-marketing studies and provide medical support to IITs
- Provide support for scientific publications
- Evaluate new products, new indications and other product develop potentials from medical perspective to support new product introduction and line extension
- Oversee medical governance, especially proactively provide strategic medical governance advice
- Lead team to provide medical input, review and approval on promotional/educational material to make sure all delivered message are medically precise and balance
- Manage and develop the medical advisor team
- Build effective team with right hiring, managing and development and coaching strategy
- Set up annual objectives with team members, review the progress periodically and conduct evaluation and feedback on time
- Provide capability and & gap assessment on team members, identify the personal development and follow up
- Provide on-job training as required
- Degree in medicine, science or healthcare
- >5 years pharmaceutical company experience ; >2 years leadership experience
- Good oral and written capability of English and Chinese;
- Ability to synthesize scientific information and to communicate it effectively at a peer level with KOLs
- Knowledge of clinical trial methodology
- Excellent communication and presentation skill;
- Good organizing ability;
- Good leadership, cross function collaboration and stake-holder management.
