Staff Product Engineer

What you will be doing at VGS (Responsibilities)...

-

Building and scaling extensions on top of our core platform which is already used by the world’s largest enterprises across the merchant, acquirer, and card issuer spaces.

-

Shipping features iteratively, in a way that optimizes both for the MVP, and can be scaled into a full-fledged customer offering

-

Setting engineering standards, shaping the team culture, and contributing to our roadmap.

-

Working directly with customers, vendors, and partners to understand and figure out how we can solve their business problems with creative software solutions that are reusable across our customer base.

Contributing to architecture decisions and shaping our product direction in payment tokenization, network token management, and credential orchestration.

Has strong product instincts and thinks holistically about UX, API design, and system correctness.

Has experience shipping high-quality software in a fast-paced, product-led environment.

Is optimistic enough to fInd a way to solve problems and ship features - even if others think it can’t be done.

Loves working in an agentic engineering environment, and understands both the benefits and the risks of the technologies.

Doesn’t shy away from working with customers and vendors directly to solve problems, but rather revels in the opportunity to own something end to end.

Has an intuition for payments, tokenization, and credential management systems, or a strong desire and ability to learn quickly.
