About The Role
JOB PURPOSE
- Play a key role in implementing corporate tax strategies, projects, and ensuring tax compliance within the corporate tax function of Aldar Group.
- Provide M&A support and expertise from a corporate tax perspective.
- The role is only for a UAE National.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the AVP – Corporate Tax and wider tax team to execute comprehensive Corporate tax strategies aligned with the group's objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the review of the monthly tax provision calculation produced by the system, reconciling it to the ledger.
- Participate in the end-to-end annual Corporate tax compliance process, ensuring the accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.
- Conduct detailed reviews of deferred tax calculations for the group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead transfer pricing initiatives, ensuring compliance with international guidelines and recommending strategies to optimize the company's global tax position.
- Provide tax expertise during mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and post-transaction integration.
- Assist in Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR), Pillar 2 and Transfer Pricing (TP) initiatives in Direct / Corporate Tax.
- Support Economic Substance Regulations (ESR) compliance.
- Offer guidance on cross-border tax matters, including international tax planning, treaty analysis, and preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in domestic and international tax laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's tax practices remain compliant and current.
- Prepare and review tax-related financial reports and disclosures, including tax provision calculations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external advisors, and tax authorities to address tax-related inquiries, audits, and projects efficiently.
RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Min of: 2+ years of experience of experience in Accounting, mergers and acquisitions, and/or consultancy.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
- Experience in real estate industry
- knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws and regulations.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective team player with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
