Design Engineer - Mechanical Seals

• Core tasks
• o Working with CAD- (Siemens NX), PLM- (ECTR), and ERP-System (SAP)
• o Order-related design of mechanical seals
•  Creation of 3D models

• Components (e.g. seal covers, shaft sleeves)
• Sub assemblies and assemblies (e.g. complete mechanical seals)

 Creation of technical drawings

• Manufacturing drawings for components and sub assemblies
• Customer drawings for assemblies

•  Design and documentation of components (e.g. secondary seals)
•  Data creation and maintenance

• Material numbers
• Material master data
• Bills of materials (BOM)
• Release and change notes

• o Type series extensions and revision of existing products
•  Execution of adaptation and variant designs based on existing standards
•  Standardization and engineering related activities
•  Revision of drawings and documentation of design changes
•  Variant management using arrangements
• o Technical clarification of requirements and support in problem-solving
• o Application of relevant standards, guidelines and design rules

Additional Responsibilities

• o Reliable execution of tasks in line with timelines and specifications
• o Ensuring high quality, accuracy, and compliance with defined standards
• o Close coordination and communication with the Team Lead, Global Head of Design and Product Development and national/international colleagues
• o Contribution to the continuous improvement and standardization of design processes

Requirement profile

• Formal education : Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional experience: 3 to 5 Years in mechanical seal design, development & testing

Functional Skills

1. Strong knowledge of mechanical seal fundamentals, materials, and manufacturing processes related to Mechanical Seals.
2. Proficiency in CAD software (Unigraphics NX) is desirable
3. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
4. Experience with design for manufacturability, assembly, and testing.
5. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., API, ISO) and regulatory requirements.
