About The Role
Richardson Oilseed Products US, a division of Richardson International operates a state-of-the-art oil packaging facility in Memphis, TN where i t refines and packages one of the United States’ most recognized brands of canola and vegetable cooking oils, Wesson Oil .

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Pump Team Operator at our Memphis, TN facility. The hourly wage for this position is $23.40 per hour.
Responsiblities
- Follow all workplace health, safety, and company policies by always working safely, using required PPE, applying hazard controls, and participating in training, investigations, and safety initiatives.
- Report all unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and injuries in accordance with company procedures.
- Review production schedules, prepare equipment and supplies, and complete all required pre-operational checks, including logs, valves, and system readiness.
- Set up and start production lines, operate pumps and valves, manage product changeovers, monitor temperatures and pressure, and ensure smooth line operation.
- Collect and deliver product samples to Quality Control and maintain effective communication with team members across operations, packaging, refinery, and QC.
- Perform operational duties such as transferring oil, monitoring inventory and usage, unloading trucks, maintaining equipment (e.g., tightening valves, fixing leaks, changing filters), and cleaning spills.
- Complete end-of-shift tasks including securing equipment, housekeeping, paperwork, and supporting preventative maintenance and other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, in a warm to hot environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, understand instructions, and follow directions effectively.
- Proficiency in computer systems with good to advanced technical skills.
- Physical capability to safely lift and stack up to 50 lbs; forklift experience is an asset.
- High School diploma or GED required.
