Job Responsibilities
Principle Integration Consultant
Create and enforce best practices.
Poses the knowledge of industry-standard implementations.
Communicate/Work with the Client to generate a blueprint.
Breaking down the blueprint provided to convert to Project action items.
Mentor the team on best practices and Industry knowledge.
Some level of SAP functionality.
Accountability : Lead maintenance of customer solutions in partnership with the Global Customer Support and OnSite teams Responsibility : Drive quality across enhancements and fixes delivered. Analytical : Lead impact analysis, change control, pull request, code review, and change management. Quality: Maintain version control for the solution. Visionary : Drive automation mindset across the SET organization. Self-Driven: Hire, motivate, and retain a team of analysts and engineers. Create and drive a high-performing team. Develop team members and yourself. EDI Knowledge: The developer should have a strong understanding of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, or other relevant formats. They should be familiar with EDI transaction sets, segments, and elements. Mapping Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in EDI mapping tools like IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Gentran Integration Suite, Cleo Clarify, or other similar software is essential. Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript is often required to develop custom mapping logic and integration with other systems. Data Transformation: The ability to perform data transformation between EDI formats and various internal data formats (e.g., XML, JSON, flat files) is crucial. Industry Experience: Familiarity with the specific industries where EDI is commonly used (e.g., retail, healthcare, logistics) is a plus as different industries may have specific EDI requirements. EDI Communication Protocols: Understanding of communication protocols used in EDI, such as AS2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, VAN, etc. Error Handling and Validation: Experience in handling errors and implementing validation rules to ensure data integrity and compliance with EDI standards. Testing and Troubleshooting: Ability to conduct thorough testing of EDI maps and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing or production. Documentation Skills: Clear and detailed documentation of EDI maps, mapping rules, and procedures is essential for knowledge sharing and future maintenance. Compliance and Security: Awareness of EDI compliance requirements and data security best practices to protect sensitive information during transmission and processing. Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential as EDI map developers often work closely with business analysts, trading partners, and IT teams. Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing EDI standards, technologies, and business requirements. Project Management: For more senior roles, experience in managing EDI mapping projects and ensuring timely delivery of solutions. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in EDI standards, technologies, and best practices. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to understand complex data structures and efficiently design EDI maps. Coach: Management experience with leading a team, should be able to learn new concepts and teach the rest of the team.
