About The Role

Remote | Digital Simulation & Agent Task Design Expert — $70–$130/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in scenario design, structured writing, digital workflow simulation, task creation, quality review, and complex real-world problem design.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on designing realistic digital environments, creating complex agent-facing tasks, developing structured personas, reviewing task performance, and documenting high-quality scenario work. Selected professionals will apply their writing, analytical, and creative judgment to build realistic workplace-style scenarios that test reasoning, prioritization, information filtering, and multi-step task execution.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to

Persona & Digital Environment Design

  • Build richly detailed personas, workplace contexts, communication histories, and simulated digital environments
  • Create realistic digital workspaces involving tools such as Gmail, Slack, Calendar, WhatsApp, Google Drive, Airtable, and related productivity systems
  • Develop layered scenarios involving competing priorities, scheduling conflicts, incomplete information, stakeholder needs, and realistic professional constraints
  • Ensure simulated environments are coherent, internally consistent, and realistic enough to support meaningful task evaluation

Scenario Writing & Agent Task Development

  • Write challenging tasks that require reasoning, prioritization, information retrieval, judgment, and careful execution
  • Design tasks that test how well an agent navigates complex digital workflows across files, messages, calendars, and structured data
  • Create structured hints, evaluation notes, expected outcomes, and supporting documentation
  • Identify inconsistencies, unclear instructions, missing context, and opportunities to improve scenario quality

Testing, Evaluation & Documentation

  • Run agent workflows against created scenarios and evaluate task performance
  • Provide structured guidance, feedback, and quality notes based on observed performance
  • Document work clearly in structured tools such as Airtable, Crucible, JSON editors, or similar platforms
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and strong judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have

2+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, content strategy, product work, project coordination, consulting, client success, operations support, curriculum design, UX research, simulation design, or related roles

Strong written communication skills and high attention to detail

Ability to create layered, realistic scenarios with clear logic and believable professional context

Comfort working independently with structured tools, task guidelines, and documentation systems

Ability to spot inconsistencies, edge cases, missing context, and information-quality issues

Strong creative thinking paired with disciplined execution

Educational Background

An undergraduate degree is helpful

Backgrounds in writing, communications, journalism, English, design, education, business, psychology, computer science, data analysis, project management, or related fields may be relevant

Equivalent practical experience in scenario writing, content design, editing, project coordination, task design, simulation work, or structured review is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

Experience as a copywriter, UX writer, journalist, content strategist, editor, creative writer, curriculum designer, simulation designer, game designer, UX researcher, consultant, project manager, account manager, client success professional, event coordinator, or producer

Familiarity with JSON, Airtable, Crucible, Jira, Asana, AI platforms, structured data tools, SQL, Python, or technical documentation workflows

Experience building realistic professional scenarios, multi-stakeholder workflows, training materials, simulations, task specs, or complex written environments

Strong systems thinking and ability to understand how professional workflows unfold across messages, files, calendars, and competing priorities

Comfort working through detailed, creative, and logic-heavy tasks with sustained focus
