About The Role
Summary
Student Teaching Assistants will assist Pre-Clinical Sciences faculty of the School of Podiatric Medicine in labs for the Gross Anatomy, and Lower Extremity Anatomy courses. In the laboratory, TA’s will work together to determine a schedule of the open labs and must read the lab instructions and view the assigned material before lab.
Essential Functions
- Assist students in the location and identification of assigned structures.
- Assist student groups during lab with any questions about assignment
- When there are no questions, go among the lab groups pointing out criteria for identifying tissues, organs, and structures.
- Proctor lab exams.
- Assist faculty in the preparation of lab material.
- Supervise overall cleanliness of lab.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree.
- Must be 2nd year Podiatry student at Barry University, who have demonstrated high academic performance (at least a 3.0 GPA in Anatomy related courses) in their completed course work.
- Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.
