Innovation Lead

We’re now looking for an Innovation Lead - someone who thrives on turning creative concepts into scalable, impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Leading small to medium sized development teams
• Design and productization of innovative concepts
• Driving prototyping in the data and AI space
• Sales demo preparation/creation
• Stakeholder alignment
• Supporting delivery teams with R&D
• People management

Must-haves

• Good understanding of cloud-based data platforms and architectural patterns such as data lake, data warehouse, lakehouse, MLOps/AIOps
• Knowledge of distributed systems
• Experience in data modeling and ELT/ETL pipelines
• Strong experience in Python software development
• Deep understanding of the best practices in the modern software development lifecycle
• Working with, mentoring and leading teams of people with different skillsets

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in some (not necessarily all) of the leading technologies for data processing (Apache Spark, Apache Apache Flink), streaming (Apache Kafka), orchestration tools (Apache Airflow), analytical data stores (BigQuery, Snowflake, Apache Iceberg/Delta Lake/Apache Hudi), container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps (GitHub Actions/Azure Pipelines, Terraform)
• Familiarity with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript

• Drive/execute Syntio’s innovation strategy within Syntio Labs.
• Identify emerging technologies and trends that can shape our products and services.
• Lead cross-functional teams in research, experimentation, and proof-of-concept development.
• Collaborate with leadership to align innovation projects with company goals.
• Build and manage partnerships with tech communities, startups, and academic institutions.
• Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning across Syntio.
