About Us

Mint Source is a remote-first bridge that connects vibrant talent with international clients and agencies, enabling skilled individuals to showcase their expertise on a global stage.

Role Overview

Mint Source is hiring an Email Designer to join a Canadian email and SMS marketing agency that works with e-commerce brands. You'll own the visual side of client email programs, producing polished, on-brand designs at a steady daily volume using Figma . Working from fresh templates and an existing template library, you'll translate each client's brand into designs that convert, while staying close to the team through Slack and ClickUp . You'll research the brands and competitors you design for, spot opportunities to optimize, and turn revisions around quickly, sometimes same-day. This role matters because design is where a client's brand comes to life in the inbox, and your eye directly shapes how their customers engage.

What You'll Do

  • Design 8 to 12 email designs per day , combining fresh templates with adaptations of existing ones, all built in Figma .
  • Translate each client's brand identity into clean, high-quality email designs that feel native to their voice and audience.
  • Research the brands and market competitors you design for, pulling inspiration and staying current with what's working in their space.
  • Identify areas for revision and optimization across designs, proactively flagging ways to improve.
  • Handle edits and revisions promptly, including same-day turnarounds when a client needs a fast change.
  • Manage your design tasks and deadlines through ClickUp , keeping work organized and visible.
  • Communicate progress, questions, and updates clearly over Slack and written channels.
  • Collaborate with strategists and account leads to make sure each design supports the campaign goal.
  • Use AI image generation and design tools (e.g. Gemini , generative fill) to create, extend, and refine visual assets, speeding up production without sacrificing brand quality.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year of experience in email design, with a portfolio that shows strong, high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in Figma is essential, since it's the primary design tool for this role.
  • Comfortable working in Slack and ClickUp for communication and task management.
  • A sharp eye for design and the instinct to draw inspiration from brand and competitor research.
  • Genuinely keeps up with email design trends and enjoys learning new things on the design side.
  • Open to feedback and edits, with the ability to turn revisions around quickly without losing quality.
  • Comfortable being client-facing and communicating clearly in writing.
  • Thoughtful and methodical, with strong attention to detail across a high daily volume.
  • Proficient with AI design tools, including image generation (e.g. Gemini , Midjourney , or similar), and comfortable folding them into a daily design workflow.

Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Consistently deliver 8 to 12 quality designs per day that meet each client's brand standards.
  • Demonstrate clear brand and market research informing the designs produced for each client.
  • Proactively surface areas for revision and optimization rather than waiting for them to be flagged.
  • Turn around edits promptly, including same-day requests, without repeated quality issues.
  • 30/60/90-day ramp: by day 30, hit daily design volume with light supervision and absorb each client's brand guidelines; by day 60, work independently across accounts with research built into the process; by day 90, own your client designs end to end and consistently spot optimization opportunities on your own.

What You Get

  • A fully remote role with a written-first, async-friendly team culture.
  • Autonomy over your design work, with roughly 80% independent focus time.
  • Regular, structured feedback through weekly and monthly check-ins.
  • Room to grow your craft while working across a variety of e-commerce and B2B brands.
  • Back-office support from Mint Source for payroll, onboarding, and HR.
