Turret Operator/Backup - 1st Shift

Ameristar Manufacturing is looking for a Turret Operator for first shift! Ameristar offers a full benefit package including 401K.

Position Summary

• Employee will set-up, call up and edit program, and operate LVD Strippit machines focusing as a backup for this machine and assisting in the sheet metal department.

Essential Functions

• -
• Coordinate department workload to better suit run schedule
• -
• Set up and operate LVD Strippit machines.
• -
• Select correct tooling to produce parts
• -
• Load correct programming to produce parts
• -
• Deburr and stack parts on pallets and or in boxes or totes.
• -
• Maintains quality rating above 98%, on time shipping above 90%. Complete new hire training checklist.
• -
• Provide flats and layouts for turrets and laser. Resolve process, product, equipment, and production issues.

• Support actions to improve measured Quality Objectives in On Time Delivery, % Lot Yield, % Parts Yield.
• Maintain your responsibilities as identified in the Quality Management System documentation.

Regular attendance is required. Stop process of non-conforming exits, notify Production Planner or General Manager and Q.C. Ensure employees are following all safety procedures in place.

Any other duties as directed by management, including assisting other areas such as Autosert, Brake Press, Metal Finishing, and other departments as needed.
